[REVIEW] SON&PARK skin fit foundation spf45 pa++

So I’ve been eager to try out this Son & Park skinfit foundation for a while and I finally got my hands on it! Keep on scrolling to see more :)

Son&Park skin fit foundation

The Son&Park skin fit foundation is stick foundation that comes with a brush on the other end. I bought this because it seemed so handy for me when travelling, no need to bring a brush along.

The skin fit foundation is supposed to be a sebum controlling one. It's perfect for those with oily/combination skin types. In the middle of the stick, there's a green dot and that's the part that will do the oil control. I have combination skin and my T-zone gets shiny really easily during the day. But I must say, this really helped a lot. Even though I still set my makeup with setting powder.

Ok, done with talking about the packaging. Let's get back to real business now.

I've got shade #23 which is slightly a bit too dark for me (reference: MAC NC20-25). It is acceptable for now since summer is around the corner but i don't think I will be able to wear this around during winter time (which is a pity). I didn't buy this stick myself, but asked someone else to get it for me in HK instead, that's why I wasn't able to get the right shade.

The coverage is low. It is definitely ok for those without anything to hide, but I usually still have to use a bit concealer to cover my acne scars afterwards.

When wearing this with setting powder (I am currently using Son&Park 's Flawless pore pact) this foundation can really last for up to 8 hours on me.

As for application: I haven't tried using this with the including brush yet because I wanted to keep the brush clean since it seemed hard to wash the brush. But I did try this foundation using my Real Techniques expert face brush and my Beauty Blender. The very first time I used this foundation was with the RT brush, it really disappointed me. the foundation looked so thick on my face and I could see strokes all over my face from the brush. A few days later, I gave this foundation another chance but with my Beauty Blender and I fell in love. The combination of the two just gave me a perfect second layer skin. It was very thin and natural. You could barely tell I was wearing foundation. So lesson of the day: Apply this foundation with your Beauty Blender. However, I bought this foundation because it came with a brush which seemed very handy for me, so don't know if I should be happy or not..

Below it might give you an idea for the coverage. Coverage can be buildable, but I prefer just using concealer on certain areas for a more natural and thin finish.

So the final verdict: I will definitely repurchase this foundation stick, but next time probably in a lighter shade (#21).  I usually buy shade #23 when I buy base products in Korea since their products are always so light. But this really is dark for a shade #23. I forgot to mention it above, but this foundation also has SPF in it, which is awesome for the summer!

[REVIEW] BEYOND Angel Aqua Snow Brightening Essence

I'm back! With a review of another Beyond product I tried. I like to keep my reviews clear and simple, so this time I reviewed the product by answering a few questions. Keep on reading if you'd like to know more about this essence!

Results?
Don’t expect wonders from this essence. Even though it says it’s a ‘brightening essence’, don’t believe it. This product failed in brightening my skin, but I can say that it didn’t break me out, which I’m glad for.  I have combination skin and this product is really good for summer, since It’s very light and thin. It’s not sticky and absorbs well into the skin. In the summer, I can just use this essence at night without having to use another moisturizer on top. However, using this serum only won’t be moisturizing enough in the winter.

Who may like this product?
People with combination/oily skin might like this since it is very light weighted plus it didn’t cause (me) any break outs. However, don’t forget to use a moisturizer on top, especially during winter times.

Do you like the product?
I don’t hate it, but I’m also not in love with this.

Would you repurchase the product?
No, since it’s not easy for me (in Europe) to buy it and didn’t meet my expectations. So after this I will be looking for other serums to try and hopefully I can find the most suitable one for my skin.

Would you recommend this?
I won’t recommend it if you’re really looking for a brightening essence. But if you have oily skin, and you’re looking for something new and light weighted to try, this may be an option for you.

[BEAUTY] My Yves Saint Laurent lip collection (SWATCH)

I usually don't care about wearing lipsticks. But since I watched the Korean drama 'You who came from the stars/My love from the stars', I am literally addicted and obsessed with lipsticks. Not only do they have a beautiful and lovely packaging, but the colours are also very pretty.

It's insane to know how much I spent on lipsticks in only 1-2 years. In this post you can find my YSL lipstick collections and I might do a top 5 favourite lipsticks, but it's really difficult to pick only 5 lipsticks ><

1. Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres

The upper swatches are the ones with multiple coats, and the lower ones only have one coat. As you can see there's like no different, so you can tell YSL lipsticks are very pigmented.

2. YSL Rouge Pur Couture #52 (This colour should be the most well known colour from You who came from the stars. It was really sold out WORLDWIDE for a certain period)

[REVIEW] Beyond Angel Aqua Moisture CC cream

This CC cream is the first CC cream I've ever tried.
I didn't know the brand 'Beyond' at first, until I found out Korean actor 'Kim Soo Hyun' is its endorser. That's why I decided to give this brand a try (I know, I'm already biased because of him).

This CC cream claims to have 55% water contents and is 6 free:
- Alcohol Free
- Tar Colorants Free
- Mineral Oil Free
- Animal Origin Ingredients Free
- Chemical Fragrance Free
- Paraben Free

And it also has an SPF25, PA++
The packaging has a light Tiffany blue colour, I think it looks very simple, clean and cute at the same time.

This CC cream has a grey/white/blue colour at first, when you start to blend it out, it will adapt into your own skintone.

Looks very natural, doesn't it?

What I also really loooove is the scent of this CC cream, it has a fresh lemon scent. You can like it or dislike it, depends on your own preferences.

This product can be used as a base or everyday wear for those who only need a minimum coverage. People with lots of (acne) scars (like me), will need a concealer to cover up the scars.
But since the 'main' factor of CC creams are colour correcting, I think this product is fine. Although it doesn't reduce all the rednesses on my face, I still think it makes my skintone a little bit more even.

Before (I know my skin is bad)

After (Dry areas are more noticeable now)

As you can see, the coverage really is minimum. I won't recommend this to someone who is looking for something with a high coverage. For those who want something with a natural look, this might be something for you!

I tried this product with and without a primer. Since I have combination to oily (T-zone) skin, it's definitely better for me to wear this with a primer. If I use a primer, I can wear this CC cream for up to 5hrs without creasing. Otherwise, it will start creasing after 3hrs.

As for the 55% water contents, I personally don't think this CC cream is that moisturizing. If you have cracked/dried areas on your face, it will make it a bit more noticeable. So be sure to wear some moisturizing cream/serum before!

Conclusion

Pros
- Natural finish
- Long wear
- Lemon scent
- SPF

Cons
- Not that moisturizing
- Minimum coverage

If you made it until here, thank you for reading! Hope it helped :)
